Your TATAU S

What this edition does.

How it works

Your hand sets the direction.

  1. Choose the client and settings.

Select a client and skin profile in the app. Manual depth control. The artist can always change settings by hand.

  2. Work with your machine’s feedback.

Standard needle motor. Motion, pressure and depth readings combine with this edition’s 1 feedback motor. Spoken alerts help you notice changes while you work.

  3. Keep your progress.

Basic artist guidance works without a subscription. Optional plans add supported replay, history and training tools. Courses automatically adapt to this machine’s sensors.

Sensors & technology

The details behind the feedback.

TATAU S — V2 planned hardware package
ComponentPurposeThis edition
Tatau Strike CoreThe machine’s low-power brain reads every sensor many times a second, runs smart features on the machine and connects to a phone or iPad over Bluetooth. Updates arrive through the app.Planned inclusion
Tatau Strike Motion Sensor6-axis motion sensing: three directions of movement and three of rotation. Reads angle, hand speed, shake and movement changes associated with fatigue; also supports drop detection and tap gestures.Planned inclusion
Tatau Strike Pressure SensorReads how hard the needle is pressed into the skin for live feedback.Planned inclusion
Tatau Strike Depth SensorReads needle stroke and depth as the needle moves. Needle depth measurements are shown in inches.Planned inclusion
Tatau Strike Grip SensorsThin pressure zones read grip strength and finger balance. The planned system compares grip with needle pressure to flag squeezing that may compensate for a poor angle, and supports an artist grip signature. Not included
Tatau Strike Skin Temperature SensorA no-touch heat sensor aimed at the needle point supports overworked-skin warnings and practice-versus-live skin checks. Reference examples: practice material around room temperature, about 70–75°F, and live skin about 90°F. Temperature varies; the apprentice workflow also uses mentor approval and camera/depth confirmation. Not included
Tatau Strike Machine Temperature SensorMonitors motor and body temperature. Designed to warn, lower power and pause when the machine approaches its operating temperature limits.Planned inclusion
Tatau Strike Haptic MotorsSmall motors in the grip give directional cues: left/right, and top-direction cues on PRO. Also carry alerts and mentor guidance. Motor count and patterns depend on edition.1 motor
Tatau Strike DisplayAn LED ring shows machine mode, depth level where supported, alerts and battery. PRO uses a full-color ring.Planned inclusion
Tatau Strike Depth ControlPRO motorized auto-depth sets depth, stroke and power from the skin profile chosen in the app. The artist can always fine-tune by hand; in apprentice mode the mentor sets the permitted range. S is manual; SE adds suggested depth.Manual depth control
Tatau Strike Tip CameraThe PRO tip camera watches only the needle point for stencil tracking and a shading coverage map that counts passes over an area. It does not watch the client, room or station. Not included
Tatau Strike Cartridge ReaderReads a chip in each cartridge to log needle type and lot number, identify a fresh cartridge and reject one retired from another client’s session. Also supports tap-in badges and wristbands through gloves. Included on SE and PRO.Not included
Tatau Strike Onboard MemoryBuffers the session on the machine if the phone or iPad connection drops, then syncs when the connection returns. Designed to help retain session records through connection gaps; final capacity and retention behavior are to be confirmed.[MEMORY PACKAGE TO CONFIRM]
Tatau Strike Security ChipA signed serial number supports a phone-tap genuine check, owner registration, warranty and service history, plus theft lock.Planned inclusion

Built-in rechargeable battery. Runtime: [BATTERY HOURS]. All three editions target the same body size; dimensions: [BODY SIZE IN INCHES].

Connected app / iPhone, iPad, Android

Artist guidance that matches your machine.

Talk with the planned live AI instructor in the Tatau Strike app: ask technique questions, hear explanations and receive artist guidance through your earbuds or speaker. The AI supports the artist; the artist is always in control. Conversational voice Coming is in development.

Live readings and manual settings come with the Free app foundation. Voice level: Spoken alerts. The app uses this edition’s metal color and shows its supported features.

Optional paid tools are limited by the machine’s hardware. S does not gain a tip camera or auto-depth through a subscription; upgrading the machine expands compatible lessons and artist guidance.

Courses run on this edition with sensor-adapted lessons. Classroom mode, apprentice-level enforcement, full station-camera compliance checks and the tip camera require PRO.
